If we were to compare being a leader to how we act on our computers, where would you fall?
- Are you a leader who spends a lot of time staring at a blank screen, waiting for inspiration?
- Are you a leader who uses the backspace button a lot, never sure if the idea is good enough?
- Are you a leader who types something up, hits send and sees what happens?
I’ve been struck lately with how little risk I take as a leader. I have the thought, the good intention, the desire. But I hit backspace too much. I go over and over the idea from every angle to be ready for any possible outcome.
A wise woman has been teaching me this week that we are to show up, pay attention, cooperate with God and release the outcome.
Do you have a new idea you’ve wanted to try? What’s stopping you? What’s the worst thing that could happen? Release the outcome. You’re called to type up the idea, hit send and see what happens.
